Visitors to this site are urged to compare the picture below with the picture shown under the "Im" heading. It will be seen that these two pictures are identical, except for the roof. The roof has been changed from nickel plated iron parts to metal supports covered with "roof stones" (Dach Steine). Even the backgrounds are the same. As will be seen in a subsequent "issue" of this page, the new DS bridges were not the same length as the Im bridges, so the background had to be extended to accommodate the longer bridges. Builders know that the DS metal roof parts are not at all sturdy, but several Dutch Anchor Friends, Fred Hartjes and Rob Buis, have made reproduction metal parts which are vastly superior from a mechanical point of view.
